But it didn't detour our spring break plans. We caught Laney early enough in her diagnosis that we still made it to the movie "How To Train Your Dragon". Great movie. We all loved it and can't wait for it to come out on DVD. I loved it too!!! We ate popcorn, candy, pop and had a great time. Lots of laugh on another semi cold rainy day.

Spring Break: Day 6
Well day 6 started out with an unexpected trip to the doctor. Laney has ear and eye infections, so we got to see our favorite doctor Dr. Ally. She is the best. We all love Dr. Ally. As you can see.

Spring Break: Day 5 Part 2
And for the rest of our day we watched the movie Planet 51. It has rained and even snowed here today so a movie in the basement was perfect. And for dinner tonight Pizza on the Barbeque. The kids all said Yessssss!!!
Spring Break: Day 5
Today is our stay at home day. We decide to try and make taffy. Our flavor is cherry limeade. I have to say it tasted pretty good when all was said and done. I do think our arms will hurt tomorrow from all the pulling, but we had a great time. We pulled, cut, wrapped and tasted. We ended up with quite a few pieces of taffy. Yum Yum!!!
Then Carlee got to go out to lunch with Grandma Olson and to her favorite place too - Carl's Junior. How fun for Carlee. She was so excited.

Spring Break: Day 4 Part 2
Just before it rained we successfully went to the school's playground and flew our kites. Carlee has been wanting to do this since the boys scouts flew their kites at pack meeting last week. The wind was perfect. We flew the kites till it started to rain. Parker had a Bakugan Kite, Carlee Toy Story Kite and Laney Yo Gabba Gabba Kite. They had a great time. We will probably to it again this week. Little did I know, but Ray is the 4th Grade Kite Flying Champion at Taft Elementary School. He flew the highest and is know for winning the battle in the skies. Yeah for Ray. No wonder we are such good kite flyers.
Spring Break: Day 4
We are getting it done today!! We have had a fun day and it's only 2:30 pm. We went rock climbing and swimming this morning at the YMCA. Parker went to the top of the climbing wall and rang the bell. Laney went down the hydro slide in the pool about 20 times all by herself and Carlee swam like a mermaid. The girls bravely put one foot on a rock, but that is as far as they went.

Spring Break: Day 3
So since Easter is next weekend and it will be General Conference, the kids got to wear their Easter outfits today to church. Ray got a new tie!! It's always fun to dress them up though the girls don't like anything in their hair and for boys it's just a new tie to go with a white shirt. They did look springy and I can't wait for their Easter Baskets next Sunday. The Easter Bunny better get the baskets ready.

Spring Break:Day 2
Ray decide to go buy him and I new mountain bikes today. Yeah! I was in full support. George's Bike shop should be pleased. We have spent the last 2 weekends buying bikes from them. Now the whole family has bikes or a way to ride. I never realized how long it would take to buy a bike. You have to be fitted and have a test drive etc. Yikes. 3 hours later, we were off on our ride. Everyone did great and it was so much fun. Can't wait to hit the foothills trails.
Spring Break:Day 1
It didn't take us long to start our Spring Break. The bell rang, the kids came and off we went to the Library. Carlee wanted to get some books on dinosaurs and Parker wanted to get a new library card. They have undated their cards with cute pictures on the front for the kids. After the library, we treated ourselves to some ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Each day we plan to do something fun. We will create our list Sunday night for FHE and play all week. (We have FHE on Sunday nights due to Parker's baseball season has begun.)

Aloha!!
Parker had his Spring Music Program yesterday at school. Let's go to Hawaii!! I'm with them. The gym was decorated with whales, the islands of Hawaii and Hawaiian flowers. They did a great job. The kids all got to dress up in their Hawaiian clothes. They learned how to hula, sing in Hawaiian and play instruments. 75 kids tried out to play the Ukulele and Parker was one of the 4 kids chosen to play it in the program. We were so proud of him. He found this Ukulele at his Uncle Loren's house and conned Uncle Loren out of it. I think Uncle Loren got it at the five and dime store, but Parker's music teacher got it to work. He played it great.

I Have Given In To My Age
Please no more birthdays. Just send presents often. Turning 46 hasn't been the most joyous occasion. Everything is starting to fall apart. More grey hairs, sagging skin under my arms and other places we won't mention, slower time when I go for a run, more wrinkles, can't hear - please repeat and finally I need more light when I read or longer arms. Yucky Yuck!!! I only thought older people got old not me. So for my latest purchase from Target this week I bought some reading glasses. At least I am just a +1.00 for now. The really bad thing is when you need some styling reading glasses to make yourself look cool in spite of the fact they are reading glasses, I can't find any. I was told to buy from the $1.00 store because you just end up losing them anyway. Though I hate to admit it they really do help. Shot, dang and fiddle sticks!!
